Alright, Im goin to try to put this in words. I have read so many paranormal teams pages and web pages. It is turning my stomache and my belief totally around. Why are teams trying to out do one another? Dont they believe in spirits? Provoking, pics, evps. Whats this all about? Dont spirits need help? Spirits arent there for show!! Spirits are in there world. Yes, some dont want help and they are happy of where they are. But, there are so many that want the help. Why isnt paranormal teams ever mentioning that on there pages? Instead of hey listen to the evps i got. Or these are the pics what do u think? Remember people they use to be human just like us. We all will be in spirit world one day!!

From my point of view I am an open minded skeptic. And I do think there are spirits. I am looking for proof. Most people automatically think anything that goes bump in the night are spirits. They aren't actually connected to the spirits by being a sensitive. Our job, as investigators, is to show them the obvious. And then review the evidence to see if anything has been caught. If nothing has shown up, we don't tell the clients that there isn't anything in their house, we tell them that nothing has shown up. And thats thats. We do point out what those noises could have been so they aren't running willy nilly claiming they have spirits or demons in their house.
That does not mean that my group isn't a group of believers. And who says a paranormal group has to believe? You can have paranormal groups who believe and those who don't. Thats the way of the world. Frankly, I am tired of groups who ONLY believe. And they think every little noise or orb is a spirit. I'm sorry that is not true. People need to use good judgement. Paranormal groups are doing everyone a disservice by going around throwing this info around. Especially when some of the claims can be proven otherwise.
You have to keep an open mind, but you can't always believe the first thing you are told. You must search for the truth no matter what it could end up being.

You have a good point. I don't use the provoking method as I find it disrespectful. By going in with a clear intention and a respectful approach I find I get a lot more interaction and "results" if you will. A lot more. Spirits seem to appreciate that so far in my experience at least.

I'm a believer due to my own experiences, but I also consider logical and environmental factors in order to debunk.
